Malibu is the site of one of Mario’s most memorable water projects, on the roof of a beach house overlooking the vast smooth Pacific. Porpoises, surfers, spectacular sunsets, and the lights of night jets coming and going from LAX were the homeowner’s view from his pool after a long day of dealing with VIPs. It was also the site of some star-studded parties, away from the roar of PCH traffic and pretty much any care in the world.
